Maybe Tomorrow / And Her Daddy's A Millionaire
Released: November 15, 1968 Label: Apple Records (Worldwide) Produced: Tony Visconti Catalog Numbers: UK: Apple 5 USA: Apple 1803 Japan: AR-2198 Highest Chart Position: Billboard USA: #67 Rory Williams note: Check out the very rare Apple/Americom disc photos. They are American made. They were actually available in specially made vending machines. I’ve been told that they cost around 75 cents. There were also a couple of Mary Hopkin discs too. They also made Get Back and Hey Jude for the Beatles. The Iveys disc is by far one of the rarest discs. It took me a long time to find one! |
Tracks
- Maybe Tomorrow (Evans) 2:50
- And Her Daddy's A Millionaire (Evans/Ham) 2:08
Release Notes: (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) The Iveys recorded and released the single "Maybe Tomorrow" in 1968, which reached the lower levels of Billboard Hot 100. An album of the same name was issued in Italy, West Germany and Japan in 1969. Plans to release the LP in the UK and U.S. were halted without official explanation from Apple.

Released: June 12, 1969 Recording & Technical Assistance: John Hassell Recordings Flexidisc Production: George G. Harrap & Co. Ltd Made in England by: Sound for Industry Ltd., London The Pleasure Garden (The Iveys) · Ron Griffiths - Bass/Lead Vocals · Tom Evans - Rhythm Guitar/Vocals · Pete Ham - Lead Guitar/Piano/Vocals · Mike Gibbins - Drums BWR Report Wow! What a discovery! An undocumented recorded Iveys song re-discovered!!! As first reported on the BWR. Read the entire story on how this recording came to the light of day... |
Tracks
- Young London - Emperor Rosko and Jonathan King
- Permissive Paradise (Cox/Sidey) 3:39
Bryan Waller comments: What would be your idea of one of the rarest songs you could ever look for? An obscure import, a famous group's first record before they were famous, a promo only issue, a song recorded under a pseudonym, a song that was never intended for the music market, a song the fans don't know about. "Permissive Paradise" is all of these, and the kicker is that I never even heard of it until 34 years after it was recorded. I have some records that I searched years for; I got this little gem in the mail only nine days after you mentioned it in your BWR newsletter. That's about as good as it gets! |

Harrison produced new versions of a couple of the earlier songs, as well as recording a couple new tracks with the band in the summer of 1971. Harrison can be heard playing a lead-guitar duet with Pete Ham on the song "Day After Day", with Leon Russell featured on piano. |

Release Notes: (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) The sessions for what would be Badƒinger's fourth and last album for Apple, Ass, began in September 1972 at Apple's basement studios at 3, Savile Row and would continue at five recording studios over the next nine months. During the recording of Ass, Stan Polley negotiated a multi-million dollar deal with Warner Bros. Records that included an album from the group every six months. The Ass release date would be held up by legal proceedings which followed Badƒinger's departure from Apple. Ass featured a metaphoric record cover of a donkey (Badƒinger) following a carrot (a coming lucrative record contract with Warner Bros.). Both Ass and its accompanying single, "Apple Of My Eye," failed to reach the Billboard Top 100. |

Neither Ass nor Badfinger were well-received by music critics. Badƒinger and its two accompanying singles, "Love Is Easy" (UK) and "I Miss You" (US/Japan), also did not reach chart positions. |

One concert at the Cleveland Agora in March 1974 was recorded on 16-track tape for a possible live-album release, although the performance was deemed unsatisfactory at the time. |

Released: 1979 Label: Electra Records Produced Davis Malloy Catalog Number: USA: E-46022 |
Tracks
- Lost Inside Your Love (Evans) 2:42
- Come Down Hard (Molland) 3:46
Badƒinger talks about Airwaves (From the Airwaves News Bulletin) Lost Inside Your Love (Evans)-- "Basically it's a love song and it's funny because it's a song I had running around in my mind for a time as a hate song! It was a downer song I'd written in a very bad period of my life. Once I got over here and I realized how everything was going to work out, it turned around in my head, became very positive." --Tommy Evans Come Down Hard" (Molland) -- "It' s a rock story song about a chick and a guy, there' s some two-timing in it. She has all her plans laid out, but it just doesn't happen that way. She comes down really hard, just facing the reality of the situation." --Joey Molland |

I think this one sounds most like the things we did in the past, brought up to date." --Joey Molland Sail Away (Evans)-- "I think it's pretty, really pretty. The basic idea is when you feel fed up, what will you do? I think all of us just-- 'sail away'!" --Tommy Evans |

Badƒinger - Say No More (From the Radio Records Promotional Sheet) With prior success in the early seventies behind them, Badƒinger is back with a new LP complete with original music, infectious rock and roll, and Tony Kaye, formerly of Yes, on keyboards. Coinciding with the formation of the new Badƒinger, the group, longing for the personal effort of a small record label, signed with Florida-based Radio Records. The original name for the album was to be Myami. |

Badƒinger - Say No More (From the Radio Records Promotional Sheet) The songs on Say No More, all penned by Evans or Molland, are uniformly excellent. Some highlights include the rockabilly-flavored I Got You, and the infectious pop/rock of Hold On, Come On and Because I Love You. Of special interest are the dramatic rock anthem Rock N' Roll Contract and the concluding, pulsing No More. |

Tracks
- Because I Love You (Molland) 2:58

Badƒinger - Say No More (From the Radio Records Promotional Sheet) The 1980's model of Badƒinger has a distinctly harder, fuller, stronger sound then the previous incarnations. The vocals, of course, are still fresh and crisp, the melodies ever-present, but this is one band that isn't about to play for the nostalgia market. |

Baby Blue / Day After Day
Blue Vinyl & Black Vinyl [ For Jukeboxes Only! ]
Released: January 1994 Label: Capitol / CEMA Catalog Number: USA: S7-17487

|
Tracks
- Baby Blue (Ham) 3:36
- Day After Day (Ham) 3:10
Release Notes: (Excerpt) [ Official Beatles Jukebox 45's by John Whelan ]
Capitol Records released special colored jukebox 45's through their "CEMA Special Marketing Products" division. Each single was released from May 1994 to January 1996 on a "purple label" and only available for jukeboxes. These records are no longer in print and are rapidly becoming collectors items. Most of these "Jukebox Only" 45's were Beatle or Beatle "solo" releases. Two exceptions to that rule were Badƒinger’s Baby Blue / Day After Day using blue vinyl and a Beach Boy jukebox single, printed in green vinyl. The total run was approximately 20,000 units for each single. |
