I met Badfinger in the early 70s when they came by the ABKCO/Apple offices in New York. We became fast friends and I became their ‘tour guide’ of the city. Any time they needed anything done in the USA, I was glad to help out. They were so talented and so underrated. I was sad and shocked to learn of Pete's death as I had just taken him, Tommy and a few others out for a Greek dinner and clubbing at Dingwalls a couple of nights earlier. That night, when we met for dinner, I had asked them to meet me at the new Apple office on St. James's Street and they were greeted warmly by some of the people they hadn't seen since they left the label. They were so taken by that that they couldn't stop talking about it over dinner. - May Pang
