Even though the cover states the artist as Badfinger, and the title as "Timeless", the CD itself is labelled as "Hang Man". LMFAO This aside, good selections and great performances are selected. The original recording of the Agora Ballrom show has not been featured in this quality on CD before, albeit in an edited form. You get to hear the Agora tracks as they were before Joe Molland's effort in remastering them for the Rykodisc Badfinger live "Day After Day" CD. On the Rykodisc version, Joe Molland re-recorded the backing tracks and some of the vocals. To make matters worse he put his own songs before Pete's on the CD. Joey's tracks stand up well on their own, and didn't need this type of false presentation. Anyone remember the ill feeling evident when McCartney changes the credits of the Beatles tunes he released on his live CDs? This smacks of the same.... and it didn't need to be that way. Anyway, back to the bootleg..... The Iveys demo tracks sound cleaner than the "Someday We'll Be Known" disk, but you do not get the fade in reprise that is featured on "Girl Next Door" on "Someday We'll Be Known". To demonstrate how little work went into this release, the Philadelphia show contains all the dropouts and tape hiss that is apparent on the master tape used for the recording. "Feeling Alright" is missing five minutes from the beginning of the song. We begin well into Pete Ham's solo of this great performance. "Someday" sounds great, as does "Up On Cripple Creek". Overall this is an interesting cross-section of Pete Ham era Badfinger. A core collection disc that still stands up well years after its original release. ¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤ Copyright İ Badfinger Web Ring / Badfingerlinks.com.
